Joshua Bialek

Now in his 23rd year coaching wrestling at Northampton High School – ten as head coach  – Josh Bialek has established an impressive track record of fostering multiple Western Mass and State champions. His guidance also led to the creation of the first and only New England placer in Northampton wrestling history. In addition to his coaching prowess, Bialek himself is a formidable martial artist, possessing a purple belt in jiu-jitsu from Dave Roy. His literally hands-on experience extends to the professional fighting world, where he served as a wrestling coach and corner for UFC and Bellator veteran Jon Manley. Bialek’s coaching philosophy transcends mere athletic achievement. “Coaching is definitely my passion,” he shares. “Seeing young people succeed with the skills I taught them is an incredible reward. But even more importantly, I find joy in witnessing their growth into exceptional individuals long after their wrestling careers have ended.” This deep commitment to his athletes’ personal development underscores Bialek’s dedication as a coach and mentor.
