ANSWER: We have several different pricing packages depending on your availability, and your college or military status. We have day passes, 12 and 24 class passes, and of course, regular monthly and semester passes.
Come down and take a lesson for free, or watch any class. After that, we’ll take a look at the pricing packages together and figure out which one works best for you.

ANSWER: If you have no prior experience in Mixed Martial Arts training, all you will need on your first day is a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, and an open mind.
For those with more than 30 days experience; the only thing that is mandatory in class is a mouthpiece. You can pick one up at any local sports shop. Dick’s sporting goods is just down the road from NESF, on Route 9. We also recommend that males wear a jock supporter with a cup.

ANSWER: Other training equipment that we use during classes are: Sparring gloves, shin pads, and MMA gloves. If you’re not sure where to get these items, please visit our “Other NESF Links” section on the bottom right side of every page for some recommendations.

ANSWER: Absolutely. For people with less than 30 days of experience, we have separate beginner classes that help build a strong foundation.

ANSWER: Yes. A membership covers all classes. Though, we recommend that you take as many beginners classes as you need, to help you get comfortable.

ANSWER: Yes. The minimum age requirement to join is 15. There is no age limit.

ANSWER: Absolutely. All classes are open to males and females.

ANSWER: This question comes up a lot. The short answer is no. You get in shape by coming to the gym.

ANSWER: If you are dedicated to the training and the instructors feel you are ready, getting you a fight will not be a problem. We have been doing that for more than 18 years.
If you have no experience in MMA, the absolute minimum amount of training time is 6 months before stepping into the cage. That is not the norm, though. Most students that want to fight in a cage, train for about a year before they are ready.

ANSWER: No. NESF students range from gym socialites, to hobbyists, to gym rats, to grappling competitors, to amateur and professional MMA fighters. While competition does help gauge the true effectiveness of your skills, there is never any pressure put on students to compete.
