David Roy and Kirik Jenness have been teaching MMA in Western MA since 1993. NESF is the oldest MMA school in New England in continuous operation and is located in Amherst, MA.

New England Submission Fighting offers instruction in Mixed Martial Arts, a sport and approach to martial arts that draws the best moves from Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission grappling, and other practical styles. The claim to use the “best” moves in martial arts is not hype or hyperbole, it is proven, even scientific. Through live practice and competition, for each individual, techniques that work are adopted, and ones that do not are dropped.

While members of NESF compete regularly on a professional and amateur basis in MMA fights and grappling contests, training is by no means limited only to individuals whose goal is to step into a cage. We ask only that you be willing to train hard, keep an open mind, and maintain a positive attitude. Current members range in age from 15 to 60+, and of course include both males and females.
